Industrial Welding

Industrial Welding Services

Heavy weldments, structural steel, equipment frame repair, and more - done right at the shop or in the field. Call Matt and get a straight answer on what your job needs.

Welding Built for Heavy Work

Industrial welding is a different animal than a quick patch job on a fence or a thin sheet metal repair. It is heavy, structural work - equipment frames, thick steel weldments, pipe fittings, and components that take serious abuse on a job site. At 704 Diesel and Welding Services, this is what Matt does day in and day out.

The shop in Marshville gives us the space and setup to tackle larger weldments and structural jobs that are tough to handle in the field. Whether you have a piece of equipment with a cracked frame, a structural steel component that needs repair, or a custom weld job on industrial piping, we have the gear and the know-how to get it done.

We work with a range of welding processes depending on what the job calls for - MIG, stick, and flux core are all in the toolbox. The goal is always a clean, solid weld that holds up to the conditions it will face. No shortcuts, no guesswork.

What's Covered

From structural repairs to heavy fabrication work, here is a breakdown of the industrial welding services we handle at 704 Diesel and Welding Services.

Structural Steel Welding

Repairs and fabrication on structural steel components for buildings, equipment supports, and heavy machinery. We work with thick stock and handle the kind of joints that need to hold serious load.

Equipment Frame Repair

Cracked or broken equipment frames are a common problem with heavy machinery. We weld and reinforce frames to get your equipment back in service without having to shell out for a replacement.

Heavy Weldments

Larger weldment assemblies that need shop space and proper positioning equipment. If your job requires multiple passes on thick material or complex joint geometry, the shop is the right place for it.

Pipe and Fitting Welding

Welding on industrial pipe, fittings, and hydraulic or fluid system components. We handle both schedule pipe and structural tubing for equipment and facility applications.

Hard Facing and Wear Repair

High-wear surfaces on buckets, blades, cutting edges, and other ground-engaging components can be built back up with hard facing deposits to extend their service life significantly.

Repair Welding on Industrial Components

Broken brackets, cracked housings, worn mounting points, and other industrial component failures. If it is made of steel and it is broken, there is a good chance we can weld it back together.

Simple Process, No Runaround

Getting welding work done with us is pretty straightforward. Here is what to expect from the first call to the finished job.

01

Contact Us and Describe the Work

Give Matt a call or send a message and tell him what you are dealing with. A cracked frame, a broken component, a structural repair - whatever it is, describe it as best you can. Photos help a lot if you have them.

02

Assess and Quote

Matt will take a look at the job, either in person or from photos you send over, and give you a straight quote on what it will take. No hidden fees, no vague estimates - just what the work actually costs.

03

Schedule the Job

Once you are good with the quote, we get it on the schedule. Shop work typically moves faster since we have everything on hand. We will let you know a realistic timeframe upfront.

04

Work Done to Spec

The welding gets done right - proper preheat when needed, clean joints, and finished to the spec the job requires. We do not hand something back until it is ready to go back to work.

Common Questions About Industrial Welding

A few questions we hear regularly. If yours is not listed, just give us a call and we will talk through it.

Industrial welding generally refers to heavier, more structural work - think equipment frames, thick steel plate, structural steel members, and components that carry significant load or stress. It typically requires more powerful welding equipment, proper joint prep, and knowledge of welding procedures for the material and application. It is a step up from light fabrication or cosmetic repair work.
Yes. We handle structural steel repairs and fabrication in the shop. If you have a steel support, beam, bracket, or frame member that needs welding work, bring it in and we will take a look. Larger or more complex structural jobs are better suited to the shop where we have the right setup.
Equipment frame repair is one of the things we do most. Cracked or broken frames on excavators, loaders, skid steers, trailers, and other heavy equipment are a common problem - and replacing a frame or the whole machine is expensive. In a lot of cases, the frame can be welded and reinforced properly to get the machine back in service.
We use MIG, stick (SMAW), and flux core (FCAW) depending on what the material and application calls for. Some jobs are better suited to one process over another - stick is great for field work and dirty metal, flux core handles thicker material well, and MIG gives a clean finish on shop work. We match the process to the job.
Mostly shop work, but not always. Larger weldments and structural jobs are best done here because of the space and equipment we have. That said, Matt does mobile welding too, so if your situation makes it hard to bring the work to us, reach out and we will figure out what makes sense.
Call or message us and describe what you need done. If you can send photos, that helps a lot. Matt will take a look and get back to you with a quote. For shop work, we may want to see the piece in person before quoting on bigger jobs. Either way, the process is quick and there is no obligation.
