Fabrication Work We Handle

Every project is a little different. Here's a look at the types of work that come through the shop.

Equipment Component Repair and Rebuild

Cracked booms, broken buckets, bent frames, fractured mounting tabs - if the base structure is still good, we can often repair or rebuild the damaged section instead of replacing the whole thing.

Custom Brackets and Mounts

Need a mounting bracket that doesn't exist as a stock part? Or a custom attachment mount for a piece of equipment? We design and build them to fit your specific application.

Structural Steel Fabrication

Worn cutting edges on blades and buckets can be replaced or hard-faced in the shop to restore performance and extend the life of your ground-engaging tools.

From Your Idea to a Finished Part

The fab process depends on the project, but the basics are always the same - clear communication, honest pricing, and work done right.

Talk Through the Project

Call or stop by and walk Matt through what you need. Bring the broken part, a sketch, some measurements, or just a description of the problem you're trying to solve. The more context you can share, the better.

Assess and Quote

Matt looks at what's needed, figures out the best approach, and gives you a straight quote. No vague estimates that balloon later - just an honest number based on the materials and time involved.

Fabrication in the Shop

The work gets done in the shop with proper equipment - cutting, fitting, welding, and finishing. Every step is done with the end use in mind, so the finished part holds up the way it needs to.

Inspect, Pick Up, or We Bring It Back

Once the project is done, you can pick it up from the shop or we can coordinate getting it back to you or installed on your equipment. Either way, you'll know exactly what you're getting before you take it.

Metal Fabrication Questions

A few things people often ask before bringing a project to the shop.

What materials do you work with?

Primarily mild steel, but also high-strength steel, AR plate, and other common structural materials. If you're working with something specific or unusual, just mention it upfront and Matt can confirm whether it's something the shop is set up to handle.

Can you fabricate replacement parts for heavy equipment?

Yes. Replacement buckets, boom tips, mounting brackets, cylinder mounts, wear plates, and other equipment components can often be fabricated in the shop when OEM parts aren't available, are discontinued, or are just way more expensive than a custom-built replacement.

Do you do welding repairs as well as new fabrication?

Both. Weld repairs - cracks, broken tabs, stress fractures, reinforcement work - are a big part of what comes through the shop. New fabrication and repair work are handled with the same care and the same standards.

Can I bring just a broken part instead of the whole machine?

Absolutely. If you can remove the broken component, bring it to the shop and Matt can look at it directly. That usually makes the job easier and faster than working around a full machine. If the repair needs to happen on the equipment, that's an option too.

How long does fabrication work typically take?

It really depends on the complexity of the project and what else is in the queue. Simple repairs can often be turned around quickly. Larger custom builds take more time. Matt will give you a realistic timeline upfront so you can plan around it.

Do you work on agricultural equipment as well as construction equipment?

Yes. Farm equipment, hay equipment, loader attachments, and agricultural structures all come through the shop. If it's made of steel and something is broken, bent, or needs to be built, it's worth a call.
